The Kindness Club: Week 8
It’s week 8 of the Kindness Club.
Thank you to all of you who have been reading and joining in even if you are not posting or commenting.
Last week’s Kindness Club prompt was to be a courteous cellphone user. Cellphones are used everywhere these days both for talking and texting and we need to make an effort to be courteous about how and where we talk and text. Please do continue to be conscious about your cellphone use.
This week’s prompt is to give someone a sincere compliment.
Once a day make it a point to give at least one person a sincere compliment. It can be a friend, a family member, a co-worker or even a stranger. It can be as simple as telling someone you like their outfit to telling someone how they make you happy. All it has to be is sincere.
So go on and give out your sincere compliments generously.
Write a blog post about your experiences and come back on Sunday to link up your posts. (I will leave the McLinky up from Sunday till Sunday.)
If anyone who is not a blogger wants to join in please feel free to email me at and I will put your story up on my blog.

I love this idea and I think it is so true. As long as you are sincere, compliments are so wonderful and make everyone feel so good!!!
Thanks. I do always to try to find something sincere.
I met a friend in the supermarket this morning who I have not seen for a few months, the first thing she said to me was “You HAVE lost weight haven’t you!” So now, as you can imagine, I’m on cloud nine – I shall try and pay it forward
Isn’t that a great feeling?
Great idea. I wish people would do this more often. I didn’t read this until today, but last night I had dinner in a restaurant that was clearly understaffed. Despite the fact that my waitress had to come back from her break early to serve me, and the fact that I was eating alone (which means a small tip vs. a table of four) and all I had was a burger (which means an even worse tip), she was sweet and attentive.
After the meal I not only left her a big tip, I found the manager and told her what a great waitress she was and how I appreciated the great service despite the understaffing and the fact that I was dining alone. The manager seemed so relieved to get a compliment on such a rough night!
A few words really do make a lot of difference. Thanks for stopping by.
